As discussed yesterday, here are the brief notes you sent me of our brainstorming session on Tuesday. I wanted to mention the idea of having an editor per class, i.e. one for each level, 7th through 2nd Polimodal. They would be collecting texts and keeping the journalist's eye on the news! Besides, anyone from school would be welcome.
Another idea: a cell-phone picture contest: "Life at San Patricio" i.e. snapshots of moments in our school that portray who we are on a daily basis. Let's talk to owners or Parents Association or authorities or ANYONE who can provide the awards for the winners. Hey, let me know what you think of this! (leave comments!)
Also, YOU, the editors-in-chief and top journalists, need to start carrying your digital cameras and getting snapshots for the school blog.
Let me propose we start the blog right away. And when we come back from break, we make the official announcement with advertising campaign and sponsors, etc. etc. I know that some, if not ALL, of you have some great material ready for publication. I need to hear from you, your response, your proposals, your ideas/initiatives, etc. I'll be looking forward to it!

The whole idea is great! I loved it!! You knew I was going to like it! =P It is like the school magazine we used to have at the primary, but more complex and on-line!
I have a suggestion: we could add a section of jokes. There are always some jokes that all the school hear about. For example, once, Anto told me a joke that his brother had told her, and my brother had already told me! So, there is like a circle of jokes, and the whole school knows the jokes going around. So, my suggestion is a section of jokes and humour… What do you think?
Then, about the contest, it’s a great idea! But there’s a problem… what about people who doesn’t have cell-phones with cameras? I know that the fact they are in phones makes pics a lot more spontaneous, and all that, but… is a Nokia 1100 allowed? =P
And last… about the sponsors… aren’t you getting too serious? I don’t see it too workable…
So, if you need help for sth, or whatever, I’m in! I think I know how to subscribe to a blog, as you were asking last class… and I can also give you the codes and links for the polls and all that… Ask me for anything!

Jokes section sounds good!
I thought of a cell-phone pic contest because more people are likely to take part. They're spontaneous and a high school kid is more likely to get a cell with camera than borrow a digital camera from home. But a 'real' pic from a 'real' camera would be all the better. Anyway, we could have two categories - it wouldn't be fair to have them both compete on equal grounds, don't you think?
The sponsor part was not meant as a way to get money but SUPPORT instead, like for example, asking the Yerba Buena news websites to allow us to place a link of our blog on their websites.
Meanwhile, I'm going to ask you and the rest of the class to think of which entry they'd like to post on the school blog. And let your cameras start rolling!
The first question is what name would you (class) like to give the blog??
I also think that the idea of a School Blog is great! I have some ideas to post in it, but the problem is that I don't have much time as we are in Cuatrimestrales =S and then the trip to Bariloche ( =D )... but maybe we can start it now: personalize it, look for the sponsors, talk to the authorities, design the blog… so that when we come back from our trip everything is done and the only thing we have to do is write.
We will have plenty of time on winter break to write and it would also be a nice way to keep in touch… but I don’t now… it’s just my opinion because I don’t have time now to write something… and if I have some time, it won’t be something good because I will have the trip and the finals in my mind… and I don’t think that anything good can come from there…
Also I proposed that because I don’t travel anywhere this winter so it’s easier for me to do it at that time….
I know that I will get a lot of criticism because of my proposal because no one will want to do anything on vacations… but it’s just my opinion and what I think is the best at this moment… or at least for me…
About the idea of Vale Becker of the Jokes, it would be very interesting… and also a way that children in the school (not only us) enter to the blog… they always like those things. And the pictures, as you Charlie said, it’s a way to attract students that want to see themselves in the pictures.
About the title of the Blog… I’d have to think about it…

Thank you for your response, Jeans. Don't worry about writing for it now. My idea of starting it is just for the purposes that you mention in your comment: to set it up. When we're back from break we'll plan launching it. About the pieces to include in it, I'm pretty sure there are some that could be published right away... Straight from your blogs! So, you see, we're on the same track!
It's me again... I came to see if there were new proposals...
Yes! Charlie, you should open the blog and when each one of us finds some time, post sth on it! We should add entries (the ones who have time before travelling) and when we come back open it formally, and it should have some interesting things already... I'm sure non of us will have time to write now... so we should post pieces we have already written, on our blogs. We can choose which ones, but if you feel there's one which should be there, tell us!
As a tittle... hhmmmm... "Online CSP", or "CSP Journal"... don't know!
Yes, we shouldn't put together both categories of cameras... but I don't know if it will be good to set two contests... people won't participate in both, I think... (only photograph lovers, like me =P) We should do only the one of the cell phones... Don't know, just a suggestion...

SCHOOL BLOG: I think I'll set it up and have all of you as AUTHORS so you can post directly in it. I'd like comments to be moderated before they get published, but I'd like you, the editors, to do that moderation - not me. I don't know if it can be worked out, i.e. that all of you become the administrators as well as authors.
NAME: good suggestions, let's keep thinking; how about SanPa eNews, or Sanpa Times, or ...?? Everyone keep adding suggestions or second any that's been suggested already!
PICTURE CONTEST: maybe we'll have one contest only, and in the rules we clarify the difference in consideration or categories - maybe this will sound more encouraging, more inviting... Meanwhile, think of TRULY AMAZING awards that would REALLY make people want to participate... This is crucial! Just say what and we'll try to get it.

Sounds great! How about opening it as "SanPa eNews" and the first side element can a poll for everyone to to choose the best name for the blog? Put all of the options given by everyone so far including SanPa eNews. At the same time, in a post invite people to vote and to propose other names by means of a comment. Oh, I think you can register it as sanpasec.blogspot.com The school email address is sanpasec so it would be easy to remember for those that know it... Thank you and let me know... Oh, and add me and the rest of the class as an author - you know how, right?
